This image is part of the “PH” Collection of photos that were donated to the Society from the beginning of the organization in 1959. The Smith County Historical Society started out in Tyler at the Goodman Museum with their own museum and archives. This collection covers the time period from the 1870s and continues through approximately 1979, covering every subject imaginable–some of our oldest most precious images are in this original collection. Individuals donated these these prints over the years from their personal collections in the hopes that they would be preserved and made available to the public for education and enjoyment. The collection includes buildings, businesses, schools, area events, homes, Rose Festivals, and many other topics of local history. Other sizes available as follows:
