R. L. Falkner Collection

R.L. Falkner (1911-1992) ‘A’ Collection

This collection of photographs and negatives belongs to R. L. Falkner (1911-1992), a longtime Tyler area photographer.

Acquired by the Smith County Historical Society in 2006 with support from the Jack T. Greer Memorial Fund, we’ve created an index of account holders and begun scanning the collection. The “A” accounts are published to assist the public in finding images for research, family history, or commercial use.

Please note that a listed name, place, or business may not correspond to the photograph.

To inquire about images, please contact us and provide:
– Object ID
– Name associated with that ID

We will respond with details about the contents, including whether they are negatives or photos, the total number of images, and their subjects. From there, we can arrange for you to preview the materials or provide low-resolution watermarked scans via email.

Keep in mind that while the collection includes standard photos (weddings, school, baby, passport), it may also contain sensitive images related to funerals, accidents, or adult themes. The Smith County Historical Society reserves the right to restrict access to certain materials per our collection policy.

We will share details about the contents, including the format (negatives or photos), the total number of images, and their subjects. Then, we can arrange a preview or send low-resolution watermarked scans via email. If interested, please complete a Photo Order Form or an Archive Image Commercial Use Agreement.
