Cotton Belt Indexes

COTTON BELT INDEXES

By Scott Fitzgerald

This is a joint project that was undertaken with the cooperation of three non-profit organizations. East Texas Genealogical Society (ETGS) provided Jeanne Sellers who did all of the indexes. I proofed and formatted all of the indexes for ETGS and the Smith County Historical Society (SCHS). SCHS also provided about 1/2 of magazines and the website space. The Cotton Belt Rail Historical Society Tyler Tap Chapter who provided the other 1/2 of the magazines and newsletters that will be uploaded later.

This project covers more than just Tyler, Texas. The Cotton Belt routes include the following cities: Blytheville, Arkansas; Brinkley, Arkansas; Camden, Arkansas; Fordyce, Arkansas; Gillett, Arkansas; Jonesboro, Arkansas; Lewisville, Arkansas; Little Rock , Arkansas; McNeil, Arkansas; Memphis, Arkansas; Paragould, Arkansas; Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Stamps, Arkansas; Stuttgard, Arkansas; Texarkana, Arkansas; Trumann, Arkansas; East St. Louis, Missouri; Caruthersville, Missouri; Illmo, Missouri; Malden, Missouri; New Madrid, Missouri; St. Louis, Missouri; Wyatt, Missouri; Athens, Texas; Commerce, Texas, Corsicana, Texas; Dallas, Texas; Fort Worth, Texas; Gatesville, Texas; Greenville, Texas; Jacksonville, Texas; Lufkin, Texas; Mt.
