LASSETER, ELBERT, JR.
The 21-month old son of Mr. & Mrs. Elbert Lasseter, died on June 22, 1910, of congestion. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Daily Courier-Times, June 23, 1910; June 24, 1919 – Funeral.

Comprising correspondence, a newspaper clipping, and a journal, the Mrs. H. Elbert Lasseter Papers, document Lasseter’s involvement in the Texas Woman Suffrage movement. Correspondence from the Texas Woman’s Suffrage Association to the Smith County Equal Franchise League concerns the relationship between the two organizations, their common objective, the importance of having a legislative committee, and the San Antonio Equal Franchise Society. Additionally, the journal contains the by-laws of the Smith County Equal Franchise League as well as a list of its charter members, while the newspaper clipping pertains to political affairs in Texas.
